CROSSING TIME
Safety & Land Access
The Hunt is designed so that unsafe or illegal conduct is never the intended solution.
Stay within lawful access
Do not enter private property without permission, cross fences or locked gates, enter closed or restricted areas, ignore posted rules, or remain in an area after an authorized closure.
Do not damage the place
No digging, cutting, prying, dismantling, marking, moving natural or historic features, damaging structures, disturbing wildlife, or removing hunt equipment is required or permitted.
Use ordinary outdoor judgment
Check conditions before travel. Bring appropriate water, clothing, footwear, navigation, lighting, and communications for the activity you choose. Do not continue into dangerous weather, fire closures, flooding, hazardous water, unstable terrain, or any situation beyond your ability.
Technology is not a safety signal
A phone, beacon, radio, website, map, or signal can be delayed, inaccurate, unavailable, or affected by terrain and interference. Never use a signal reading as permission to enter an unsafe or unauthorized area.
Respect other hunters and the public
Do not block, follow, threaten, harass, crowd, or interfere with another participant. Give other visitors normal space and courtesy. Do not create hazards while parking, driving, hiking, or using devices.
