Website Terms of Service
These terms govern use of the Crossing Time website, accounts, digital puzzle materials, and online services. The Official Hunt Rules separately govern participation in the treasure hunt and control if there is a conflict concerning hunt participation.
Accounts and access
You are responsible for the email account, Hunter Code, links, and devices used to access your Crossing Time account. Do not impersonate another participant, share access in a way that defeats account controls, or attempt to obtain access that has not been granted to you.
Digital content and purchases
Prices and the content included with a purchase are shown before checkout. A purchase provides the digital access described at checkout; it does not guarantee puzzle completion, field advancement, or a prize. Digital content may be protected by account, entitlement, release-date, and other access controls.
Acceptable use
Do not attack, scrape at unreasonable volume, reverse engineer access controls, exploit vulnerabilities, disrupt service, interfere with other users, or use the site to distribute malware, spam, threats, or knowingly false material presented as official hunt information.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise identified, Crossing Time puzzle designs, text, graphics, interface elements, and original media are owned or licensed by Low Rents Research. Purchasing access does not transfer ownership of those materials. Personal, noncommercial use connected with solving the Hunt is permitted unless a specific page states otherwise.
Availability and changes
The website may be updated, interrupted, repaired, or temporarily unavailable. Features may change when reasonably necessary for security, technical reliability, safety, legal compliance, or Hunt administration.
Third-party services
Crossing Time may rely on third-party services for hosting, authentication, email, payments, maps, or communications. Their services may be subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
